Mayte Michelle Rodriguez was born on July 12, 1978, in Bexar County, Texas. Her background is of Dominican Republic and Puerto Rican, this sexy latina has much to offer. Rodriguez had lived in both countries, she was in the Dominican Rep. at the age of 8 with her mother, then at the age of 11 and later on went to New Jersey. She had dropped out of school by the age of 17, whcih later on received a GED.

Michelle got her fame in her first audition to a casting call for the movie, "girlfight", beating 350 other girls who auditioned. From there she received her fame and was casted in many more notable movies such as, S.W.A.T., The Fast and the Furious and Resident Evil. In 2002, she was ranked #77 in Stuff magazine’s “102 Sexiest Women In The World”, and #34 in Maxim’s "100 Sexiest Women". That same year, Rodriguez portrayed Eden in the surfer girlpower flick Blue Crush.

For Halo 2 fans, in 2004 you might recognize her voice as Marine. When 2005 arrived, she was cast as the cop Ana Lucia Cortez on the television series Lost during the show's second season. Who can forget the sexy scene she had with Sawyer! In 2007, she was cast in her latest movie, Battle with Seattle, releases in the U.S. in May 2008 and she recently wrapped filming in New Zealand for James Cameron's sci-fi adventure Avatar, due out December 18, 2009.
